How the reward is built

  • +25,000 $PITTY — you give permission for Pitty Shades to feature the dog's photo and rescue story on the website and socials.
  • 100,000 $PITTY total maximum per qualifying adoption.

The bonus is for permission, not a requirement. Say no and you still get the full 75,000 $PITTY. You can also let us show the dog while keeping yourself private — we never need your name or your picture unless you want them included.

Which dogs qualify

This reward exists for the breed that gets left behind. It only applies to a pit bull or American Pit Bull Terrier (blue nose, red nose, any color), an American Staffordshire Terrier, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, an American Bully, or a qualifying bully-breed mix. Any other breed does not qualify, no exceptions.

What you have to show

  1. 1Adoption paperwork from a shelter or rescue, in your name, for a completed adoption.
  2. 2A clear photo of the dog by itself.
  3. 3A photo of you with the dog — only a reviewer sees it, and it never goes public unless you ask for that.
  4. 4A short video is optional. It helps, but it is not required for approval.
  5. 5The breed on your claim has to be a pitty or bully breed, and the dog in the photos and paperwork has to be the same dog.
  6. 6Black out addresses, prices, phone numbers and anything else private before you upload. Keep the shelter name, the dog and the date readable.

  2. 2Sign in and submit the rescue in your dashboard: the dog's name, the breed, the shelter, the date and your proof.
  3. 3Upload the adoption paperwork and the photos. A video link is optional.
  4. 4Tell us whether we can feature the dog's photo and story. Yes adds 25,000 $PITTY. No keeps your 75,000 $PITTY.
  5. 5A human reviews it. Every rescue claim is approved manually — nothing about this one is automatic.

Your proof stays private

Adoption documents are stored privately and are only ever opened by a reviewer to confirm the adoption. They are never published, never shown on the leaderboard, and never shared. Redact anything you do not want a reviewer to see — we only need enough to confirm the adoption is real.
